What’s On

Our Voice

Our Voice is an event that is all about bringing community together to create awareness, understanding and connection.

With our incredible founder Megan guiding the night, you will meet Tarryn, Bree, Hayley and Maddy who will be sharing their stories of lived experience with mental illness and their journey to recovery.

Our Voice will provide real life examples of strategies and tools that are supportive in times of need while building awareness of community support structures for ongoing support.

This will be the very first time for this event and we would love to welcome everyone of all genders and age to join us.

We’d Love Your Feedback

If you joined us for the opening night of Our Voice on the 3rd of November, we’d would love to hear what you thought of the night, so that we can continue to grow and improve our program to better serve our audience.

Youth Retreats

Our next youth retreat will be going ahead in August, dates to be confirmed.

This day will be a beautiful combination of yoga, sound healing and workshops that will look at our language, along with self-help techniques to support anxiety.

This retreat will cater to ages 14-16.

Our retreats are completely free of charge with places being offered through schools, youth services and through local referrals to those vulnerable in the space of mental wellbeing.

Youth Empowerment Programs

Youth Yoga / Parent Mentoring

A ten week program sponsored by Bendigo Bank, that will see a group of young people aged 12-16, join us for a gentle yin yoga session + mentoring with the beautiful Tarryn, with parents welcomed fortnightly for mentoring and connection with our founder/director Megan.

Tarryn is at the age of 21 and an amazing yoga instructor. Having had her own lived experience, she is a beautiful mentor for these young people who are experiencing their own struggles.

Megan, a psychology graduate, long term kinesiology practitioner and trainer, Mental Health First Aid Instructor and mental health advocate will help guide parents through supporting their young person whilst sharing her experiences and expertise.

Sessions will be broken up by age and held on Sunday afternoons, with dates to be announced once COVID restrictions are lifted;

From 3pm to 4:30pm for 12-13 year olds

From 4:30pm to 6pm for 14-16 year olds

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

A Mental Health First Aid course is designed to give you the skills to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems and to help you gain the confidence and ability to help our youth when they need it most.

Megan is now a fully qualified Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Fundraising Events

At the beginning of this year we held our annual fundraising event at Currumbin RSL  – Puttin’ On The Ritz, Casino Night. It was a wonderful success with monies being raised being put towards our future scholarship program.

Thank you to those that attended and made this night such a special one.

Keep your eye out for upcoming events!
